During an inspection looking at part of the service

People we spoke to were generally happy with the care they received, and said that the staff are kind and treat people well. Most people said they received help when they needed it, although we spoke to one person who told us about problems with their teeth which hadn't been addressed. The people we spoke to had mixed views about the food; two people said it was okay and one didn't like it.

We spoke to two people who said they were quite happy and felt safe at the home. People were also happy with their medication.

During an inspection in response to concerns

People who lived in the home told us they were happy with the care they received. They said that they were treated with respect, that they were well looked after and that staff were kind. People told us that there were enough staff for the number of people living at the home, and that they didn't have to wait for someone to answer their call.

People told us that they were able to get up when they wanted, and that visitors could come and go when they wanted. People told us that medicines always come on time, and that they can see a doctor whenever they need to. We asked people if they knew what to do if they had a complaint, and they said they would be happy to talk to staff or the manager.

People who live at the home had mixed opinions about the food; most people said they did not get a choice.
