During an inspection in response to concerns
Liverpool City Council have told us that they are investigating a number of issues under their safeguarding adults procedures although the outcome of these investigations are not yet known. Their concerns are such that they have suspended any new admissions to the home until they are satisfied that the issues are resolved.
The people living at Holmleigh Nursing & Care Home were positive about the meals provided there. They told us that there was plenty of food, the 'quality of the food is good' and meals were 'well thought out'.
People were generally positive about the staff team, one person explained to us that they are, 'kind, they never shout'. People confirmed that they generally get the support they need with their personal care.
However some of the people living there or their visitors told us that there is an issue at the home with response times to call bells. They told us that they could ring their bell for a long time without response and this was upsetting, particularly if they wanted support to use the toilet. Another person told us that they did not always get the pressure relieving equipment they needed and this could cause them discomfort.
