During a routine inspection
Staff encouraged people to be independent and involved in planning the support they needed. One person told us, "I couldn't do without them". The service assessed any known risks to people who used the service and to staff.
Staff received training so that they would recognise the signs of abuse or neglect and know how they should report this. Senior staff were aware of their role in local safeguarding arrangements and how to report concerns to the local authority,
There were suitable recruitment procedures to reduce the possibility of unsuitable staff being employed. The staff team was experienced and received training to give them the knowledge and skills they needed to do their jobs well. People who used the service told us they felt well supported by the staff.
The provider had identified that people who used the service needed better information to explain how they could make raise any concerns they might have about the service. They were planning to produce new written details about this to give to people.
