All Inspections

11 April 2013

During a routine inspection

At the time of the inspection the provider was providing care for eight people in their own homes. We spoke with five relatives as people who use the service were unable to tell us their views, two staff and the registered manager.

There was evidence people were provided with information on their care and their views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided.

People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan.

People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. The provider had a safeguarding policy in place and staff were aware of their responsibilities.

There were sufficient skilled and experienced staff to safely meet the needs of people who use the service. In the staff files we looked at we saw evidence staff had received appropriate training.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
