What you need to prepare before you apply
You must have:
- The correct countersigned Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate. This can take several weeks to process so you should apply for this as soon as possible. See our guide to DBS checks for CQC registration.
- Supporting documents to upload with your application
Other preparations:
- Find out what is registration and the regulations you will need to meet.
- You will need to describe the aims and objectives for your service as part of your application. These, together with other details, will create your statement of purpose. You do not need to prepare and submit a separate statement of purpose.
- Our new quality statements are the commitments that providers should live up to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You can see our key questions and quality statements. In your application you will need to answer how you will meet some of these quality statements.
- You will need to download and complete an additional form and attach it to your application. You can download this form from the application system or from this page.
