Hinchingbrooke Hospital was rated as inadequate and placed into special measures in September 2014.

The trust introduced new branding to help inspire staff to achieve their ambition of an outstanding rating.

It strengthened this with:

  • real life case studies around our five key questions
  • a self-assessment and quarterly ‘sense check’ using CQC’s quality framework
  • ward accreditation - based on CQC’s key lines of enquiry - rating themselves ‘bronze’ to ‘platinum’

The hospital was rated as good in August 2016.
