Private and voluntary hospitals performance indicators

We are discontinuing the PVH data collection. From now on providers do not need to submit data to us each quarter.

This is because we now have more information about independent hospitals:

• data gathered during our first round of comprehensive inspections
• our Provider Information Requests (PIRs)
• new mandatory collections conducted by the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN)

Together these have improved our understanding of monitoring independent services.
